My work is concerned with spatial perception and I am drawn to spaces with a perceptual ambiguity, perhaps akin to Monet's floating water lilies, where the hierarchy of perspective doesn't hold sway. STRATA is the width of the pool and has a direct relationship to the water, mirroring and expanding its presence.

The work is programmable and has four distinct programmes, each proffering subtly differing colour field/ figure combinations which can flow or change at varying speeds.

I enjoy the perceptual possibilities according to the relationship between the viewer, the water, external illumination and emanation from the work.
